India Relief Fund from JCI Basel, Switzerland
India has been really hit hard with the Delta Variant of the Corona Virus. During these tough and unprecedented times, JCI Basel – AK International team has decided to help the fellow kith and kin in India through the State Relief Fund. There is a strong demand for Oxygen Ventilators, Masks, PPE kits due to the increasing number of Covid cases. Besides that, there is a lack of hospital beds and the health system is totally collapsing. The Central and State Government of India has requested the international community to pour in their help and support during this crisis.
Various JCI members and their friends came forward and contributed over 280 CHF to this noble cause and the entire amount collected were transferred to the Government of Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund. Thanks to each and every one who contributed to this noble cause in a timely manner. Small drops makes an ocean. JCI Basel has been involving in various social activities and it takes immense pleasure for JCI Basel AK International team to work in this project to help the needy ones during the tough times.
Mass vaccination program is going in India and more than 400 million people have already been vaccinated. There is surely light at the end of the tunnel and hoping for a better future in the coming days and months around the globe. Hearty thanks from the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, India to JCI Basel, Switzerland for the timely help during the tough times.
