JCI Basel meets JCI Eindhoven – start of a twinning?
April 2021 one of the coldest in the last 40 years, May 2021 one of the wettest but JCI Basel and JCI Eindhoven have decided to make the best of what’s in there with a virtual twinning event with the horizon of the lockdown being lifted in a few weeks or months. Lisa started the session with an ‘object introduction’ where every member should introduce themselves with an object with which they are closely associated with.
Our Vice President Oliver gave a rousing introduction about JCI Basel, the various accomplishments in the last years and Julia presented on the great facts about Basel, its rich history and culture. JCI Eindhoven’s history, achievements, and the city’s charm was presented by Caroline and Stijn which gave great insights not only about JCI Eindhoven but also interesting facts about the city.
Based on those two wonderful presentations, Daniel prepared a quiz with 12 questions (6 from each chamber) in Kahoot. Lisa from JCI Eindhoven and Oliver from JCI Basel emerged as winners in the quiz and they will be receiving surprise gift packages in the next few days. Congratulations Lisa and Oli! Sathish added flavor to the evening with some Riddle questions and every participant grabbing their favorite drink and all the participants had a good laugh on the funny answers to those riddle questions.
Karina moderated the twinning ideas between the two chambers. There were many twinning ideas (both Virtual and Face 2 Face) exchanged between JCI Eindhoven and JCI Basel in a Jamboard for e.g. Invitation to JCI Basel 50th anniversary, visit the two carnivals in Basel and Eindhoven, invitation for a skiing in winter etc. Sathish and Daniel from JCI Basel, Stijn from JCI Eindhoven have agreed to team up for the upcoming events and co-ordination of further steps. It was a fun filled evening with every one exchanging, sharing their ideas in a very light environment besides their hectic schedule.
